FERO awards a grant to a CCUN project to improve immunotherapy in lung cancer patients

Dr. Miguel Fernández de Sanmamed, a specialist at the Cancer Center Clínica Universidad de Navarra, has been awarded a grant for young researchers, which will fund a project on intratumoral immunotherapy in patients with operable lung cancer. 

Dr. Miguel Fernández de Sanmamed receives the FERO grant from Luis Celier, Director of Institutional Relations and Markets at ACS, the company that funds the grant for young researchers.

A project aimed at designing an immunotherapy strategy to reinforce neoadjuvant treatments in lung cancer patients, developed in a laboratory at Cima University of Navarra under the direction of Dr. Miguel Fernández de Sanmamed, has received the FERO Grant for young researchers. This grant, worth €80,000 over the next three years, aims to promote translational research in the fight against cancer.

The award-winning oncologist heads Cima's Applied and Translational Onco-Immunology Group, is a specialist in the Lung Cancer Area at CCUN, and has appeared on the list of the world's most cited scientists for the third consecutive year.
