Internal information channel

In compliance with the provisions of Law 2/2023 of February 20, which regulates the protection of individuals who report regulatory violations and combats corruption, the University of Navarra has implemented an internal reporting system, which serves as the preferred channel for individuals to report information obtained in a work or professional context regarding any of the acts or omissions referred to in Article 2 of the Law, primarily criminal offenses, serious or very serious administrative violations, and violations of European Union law.

The confidentiality of the whistleblower’s information is guaranteed throughout the entire information management process. The Law prohibits acts constituting retaliation against individuals who submit a report in good faith, including threats and attempts at retaliation.

To submit these reports, the whistleblower has access to an internal channel that allows for reporting:

  • Via a web form (preferred method): this form allows you to submit a report either anonymously or by providing your details. In both cases, the whistleblower will receive a username and password with which they can track the progress of the process, particularly in the case of anonymous reports, in case it becomes necessary to request further information.
  • By writing to the Compliance Officer at the University of Navarra, Edificio Amigos, University Campus, 31009 Pamplona (Navarra, Spain) or by emailing canaldenuncias@unav.es
  • By requesting a face-to-face meeting, a telephone call or a video conference, having first sent a message to canaldenuncias@unav.es

The processing of reports and, where applicable, internal investigations, will be carried out by the collegiate body responsible for the Internal Reporting System or by the person or persons designated by this body depending on the nature of the case. Following a preliminary analysis or triage, in which the existence of evidence of a criminal offence or serious breach will be assessed, a decision will be made as to whether or not to accept the report for processing, leading in the former case to an internal investigation.

In the event of serious non-compliance, the matter will be referred to the relevant governing body, which in turn will forward the file to the judicial authority, the Public Prosecutor’s Office or the competent authority in the event of evidence of a criminal offence or a serious administrative offence.
