Professional career
MD (1992) and PhD (2000) in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Navarra. Specialist in Pediatrics at Clínica Universidad de Navarra. She completed the subspecialty in Child Neurology at Clínica Universidad de Navarra and specialized in Childhood Epilepsy at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London.

RESEARCH AREAS
Her main line of research and clinical practice is childhood epilepsy and pediatric neuropsychology, especially attention deficit and cognitive problems in children with epilepsy.
She has participated in 10 clinical trials and 7 competitive research projects.
AREAS OF INTEREST
- Her main areas of interest are childhood epilepsy and learning difficulties in children with neurological disorders. She leads the Dravet Syndrome Unit, where she treats children with this condition and develops translational research projects aimed at finding a cure.

She has published more than 45 scientific articles in national and international journals, as well as 9 book chapters.
She is supervising two PhD theses and has supervised one research proficiency project.
She has participated as an invited speaker in more than 40 scientific meetings and has contributed more than 180 presentations at various meetings and congresses.
