Lipcar, a prognostic marker for heart failure with reduced ejection fraction
Senior Researcher
Heart Failure Research Group
Project information
The aim of this project is to develop the long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) LIPCAR as a new diagnostic and prognostic marker for patients with heart failure. In this project, we will measure circulating levels of LIPCAR in blood samples from cohorts of patients with different ranges of heart failure such as MI, cardiomyocyte stress/injury, myocardial inflammation and fibrosis and healthy controls in order to develop a new cardiac biomarker.
