The Cima Universidad de Navarra has held the third follow-up meeting of the strategic project BioDETOX (“Microplastics and microbiota in cardiometabolic health: innovative biological solutions for the detection and prevention of toxins”), with the participation of the teams involved from the different centers.
The project focuses on personalized knowledge of the population's exposure to toxic environmental and endogenous compounds in order to predict cardiometabolic risk in obese patients.
During this third meeting, the teams presented the progress made to date and shared the current status of the different work packages. The meeting provided an opportunity to review the progress of the project, exchange impressions among the partners, and coordinate the next steps to be taken.
The BioDETOX project is led by Dr. Carmen Berasain and is being carried out through a public-private consortium involving the University of Navarra Clinic, Navarrabiomed, the University of Navarra Nutrition Research Center, CNTA, and the companies Recombina Biotech, NNBI 2000, and Isanatur, with the collaboration of CINFA.
